Saying Goodbye to Bolam Street

After many wonderful years at our Bolam Street communal lounge, it was time to say goodbye.
It's a space which has seen so much friendship, laughter, and countless cups of tea!
It's where our lunch clubs gathered each week, and where our popular men's group was born. So many lasting connections and memories have been made here.

Bolam Street has served us well. But it's time to make way for the demolition that is taking place where our Bolam Street communal lounge now stands. Change isn't always easy, but we know we've created a new space that our friends will love and cherish just as much.
We’re Moving!
We’ll be closing for one week while we move into our newly refurbished, fully accessible premises at Holy Rosary Parish House, made possible thanks to so many generous funders and supporters. During the closure, our team will be busy packing and moving all of our furniture thanks to our friends at Foundations. Then there's the task of unpacking, and setting up to make sure everything is ready for a warm welcome when we reopen on 2nd March 2026.
A Fresh Start in a Fully Accessible Home
Our new venue has been designed with accessibility and comfort in mind. It's bright, welcoming, and ready to host the activities and social groups that make such a difference in people’s lives.
This move is an exciting new chapter for us. It means new space for friendship and fun, great facilities for our attendees, staff and volunteers, and a place where everyone can feel truly at home.
Reopening Soon!
To all of our lunch club and men's group attendees, we can’t wait to open our doors and invite you to see the new space for yourself.
Thank you for your continued support as we make this move. Bolam Street will always hold special memories, but we’re excited for all the new ones waiting to be made in our new home.
If you or someone you know would like to join us at one or more of our lunch clubs (held mid-morning to mid-afternoons on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays) or one or both of our men's groups (held mid-morning to mid-afternoon on Mondays and Thursdays), contact our team on 0191 4600297. There's a range of activities at each group, a freshly cooked two-course meal, refreshments and accessible minibus transport from home and back again in the local area.
