This week, our wonderful volunteer, Christopher, who led a series of fun and engaging chair-based exercise sessions at our lunch clubs.

Christopher encouraged everyone to get moving with a range of gentle exercises designed to improve flexibility, strength, and coordination, all from the comfort and safety of a chair. The sessions were suitable for all abilities, giving everyone the opportunity to join in at their own pace at our lunch clubs.
Our lunch clubs here at Teams and Bensham Community Care are held every Tuesday and Wednesday from mid morning to mid afternoon. We have a two course hot meal, plenty of activities and transport from home and back again in the local area.
Chair-based exercise is a fantastic way for older adults to stay active, helping to improve mobility, boost confidence, and support overall wellbeing. Just as importantly, these sessions bring people together, creating opportunities for friendship, conversation, and fun.
A huge thank you to Christopher for giving his time, and for delivering such a fun session.
If you or someone you know would like to join our lunch clubs or men's groups, for lunch and activities, contact our team on 0191 4600297.
