Day Centre Raffle Raises £350 for Local Older People!

The Teams and Bensham Community Care Christmas raffle was back this year, and bigger than ever!

On 2nd December, as our Lunch Club members arrived and settled into their seats with a cuppa, we drew the tickets and handed out all of the brilliant prizes (95 in total!) all kindly donated to us in previous weeks.

As always, it was a lovely atmosphere at our day centre were we host two men's groups and three lunch clubs every week, but it's even more special at Christmastime. The team make the festive period wonderful with plenty of seasonal activities in the build up to the main events - our three Christmas parties where we enjoy a festive meal, live entertainment and plenty of singing and dancing!

Thanks to everyone who bought a raffle ticket and donated prizes this year we raised £350 for our charity. Every penny is used to support our work here at Teams and Bensham Community Care, from our lunch clubs and men's groups, through to our transport, activities and keeping our building warm.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to make this possible including our staff for organising and coordinating the raffle, our members and friends for buying tickets, and to everyone who donated.

Events like this show how much the local community supports our cause of keeping people connected and part of something special.
